Presentation
We will follow in the footsteps of Coloma and JanRoi and go on an adventure through the area’s valleys and forests. A wise black vulture, a mad yet smart wood grouse and a white doe will guide us over a few days to help us discover the secret of Boumort.
The map will take us along paths and tracks and through villages full of history. We will experience how the people there used to live and explore magical places in the heart of nature at its wildest.
Experience inspired by the story ‘Coloma, JanRoi and the mystery of Boumort’ by Vanesa Freixa.

10 a.m. Excursion to the JanRoi mill, flora activity in the area.

4:30 p.m. Visit to the Taús cattle farm (the family’s village).

9:30 a.m. 4x4 excursion to Les Piques. Bird of prey and deer watching.

2 p.m. Lunch in the Taús Mountains.

4 p.m. Arrival at Cal Rossa de Taús. Rest afternoon.

9:30 p.m. Mountain amphibian spotting (in the Taús ravine, the newt).

9:30 a.m. 4x4 ride up to Coll de Flacó.

10 a.m. Bird of prey watching with tent hide. We will meet the black vulture (wise, but not very trustworthy). From there, you can see the Roc del Corralet.

12:30 p.m. Excursion to the Cabanes Mountains.

1:30 p.m. Lunch outdoors in the Cabanes Mountains.

3 p.m. Educational route through the Cuberes Forest to the Cuberes Refuge. We will interpret wildlife footprints and discover the forest ecosystem and all the creatures that live there.

6 p.m. Arrival at Cuberes Refuge and settling in to accommodation.

Rest morning: free time

1 p.m. Lunch at Cuberes Refuge.

5 p.m. Excursion to the Roc dels Quatre Alcaldes mountain. As we travel through deer country, we will find out more about the white doe, the smart, playful fox, and the mad wood grouse/wildcat. From there, we will be able to see the Cap de Boumort mountain.

8 p.m. Arrival at the Refuge.

9:30 p.m. Night-time activity. Bat night.
6th day

8:30 a.m. Breakfast

9:30 a.m. Pick-up in a 4x4 to go to Espluga de Cuberes and Solduga. All-day excursion, starting from the Salt de la Núvia path.

1 p.m. Lunch at Espluga de Cuberes.

5 p.m. Arrival at Salt de la Núvia, journey back to the Cuberes Refuge by 4x4.

Rest afternoon: free time.

9:30 a.m. 4x4 journey to Coll de Pan. Start of excursion to the Torre de Senyús watchtower.

9:30 a.m. Starting from the Cuberes Refuge, bird and bat nest box checking activity on foot. Deep in the woods, we will find the black woodpecker.

Noon. Time for rest and collecting luggage.

3 p.m. 4x4 ride back to Pobla de Segur / La Seu d’Urgell train station.
